Greenacres strikes again

Last Tuesday night (April 6th) was our “Flora & Fauna” and “People” Competition at the club.  With an entry of 21 for the F&F and 19 for the People the Judge, Harold Grenfell, a keen naturalist (I said naturalist not naturist missus) we were in for an entertaining night.  The Flora & Fauna was keenly fought, with incorrectly named Flora and Fauna species pointed our with some humour, but the night belonged to the Greenacres Gang with 3 of the top 4 scores.  Dave Edwards won the night with his “Puma in a Tree” scoring 20.  Linda Cowen and Brian Callard shared 2nd place with “Grey Wolves in Snow” and “Fighting Mallards” both scoring 19.  Fourth place went to Linda Cowen with “Brown Bear” scoring 18.  Score 3 for the Greenacres Gang.  Next came “People” and low and behold “The Gang” scored 3 out of the top 5 (is there no stopping them?)  Linda winning the event with “Come Back, I Don’t Bite” scoring 20.  There were 3 scores of 19 Haydn Thomas “Face of a Baby”, Colin Kelly “Megan” and there’s that woman again Linda (who got her a camera?) Cowen with  “Who’s Next”.  Coming in 5th place with 18 was Dave Edwards (getting tired of typing that name) with “Graffiti Girl 2”.  Greenacres 6 Others 3, what a massacre.  Nevertheless, well done to all for entering and Dave & Linda for winning both competitions (time for a trip to IKEA for a new Trophy Cabinet).  See I done all that report without mentioning prints falling apart or the Chairman wrongly titling his  image, ain’t I good.
