Our Society awards trophies to members in recognition of a range of photographic achievements. Trophies are presented to successful members during the prize giving and social evening that concludes the annual programme. Rules governing Society competitions can be explained on the Competition page.
Keith Harrison Trophy for Beginners (Digital Projected Image) |
- Scoring – Accumulative percentage total for the SIX Competitions.

- Scoring – Accumulative percentage total for the SIX Competitions.

D.Jennings Cup – Colour Print |
- For the THREE open colour print competitions (1,3,5).
- Scoring – Accumulative percentage total for the THREE Open Competitions.

D.L.Williams Cup – Colour Print |
- For the THREE set subject colour print competitions (2,4,6).
- Scoring – Accumulative percentage total for the THREE Set Subject Competitions.

J.M.Saunders Cup – Monochrome Print |
- For the THREE Open Mono Print competitions (1,3,5).
- Scoring – Accumulative percentage total for the SIX competions

Ellis Jenkins Cup – Digital Projected Images (Colour) |
- The SIX competitions.
- Scoring – Accumulative percentage total for the SIX competitions.

Dennis Wood Memorial Trophy – Best Colour Digital Projected Image of the Year |
- An entry consists of ONE colour digital projected image which must have been entered for a Society Competition (NOT Battle) during the Year.
- Scoring – An external Judge shall select the winning slide.
- Not included in Photographer of the Year

George Kerswill Memorial Trophy – Best Print of the Year |
- An entry consists of ONE print which must have been entered for a Society competition (NOT Battle) during the Year.
- Must be an original print previously entered not a duplicate.
- Original images will be tagged and authenticated by the Competition Secretary.
- Scoring – An external Judge shall select the winning print.
- Not included in Photographer of the Year

Colin John Memorial Cup – Monochrome Print |
- For the THREE Set Subject mono print competitions (2,4,6).

Charles Gratland Trophy – People Competition |
- Prints only.
- No more than 2 prints may be entered.
- Scoring – Winning prints will be Judged by an external judge live on the night.
- Entries now include images shot in the Studio and other Portraiture shots as well as people in their way of life.

Flora & Fauna Competition |
- Prints Only.
- Number of print max 2.
- Scoring – Winning prints will be Judged by an external judge live on the night.
- The FIAP and WPF rules will be applied for Nature Photography, with the exception that animals roaming in parks are eligible.

Photographer of the Year< |
- Scoring – Accumulation of points throughout the Year from internal and external competitions.
- The Member with the highest total shall receive the award.

Vince Gwilym Trophy – Runner-up to the Photographer of the Year |
- Scoring – As for Photographer of the Year.
- Awarded to the Member with the second Highest points total.

Assignment Trophy |
- An entry shall consist of FOUR DPI’s or prints representing a theme selected by the committee.
- Prints – Four Images to be mounted on one sheet of 20 x 16 card
- Image sizes can be any size on that card or form a “Montage”
- Scoring – The Trophy will be awarded to the Member receiving, the highest accumulated marks.

En-Print Competition |
- Consists of up to Four images un-mounted at a maximum of 7 x 5
- Images must be un-enhanced with the exception of Levels and Curves adjustments for Digital Prints.

Richard Cadle Trophy |
- This is awarded to the Photographer scoring the most points in External Battles and Salons.
- Points are allocated for acceptances in any Salons.
- Points are allocated for Images/Prints selected to represent the Society in Battles.
