Competition 5 our last Open Comp. took place last night (9th March) and did we have a cracker of a show. The judge (Mike Davies from The Vale CC) commented that he thought it was a Natural History Competition. There were some stunning images on show but the night belonged to Dave Edwards & Linda Cowen. The Print Competition was a joint win for them with Dave’s Puma In Snow and Linda’s Snow Leopard on Rocks scoring 20. Dave then shared second place with Dewi as his Wolves in Profile matched Dewi’s Paper Archaeology with 19. Linda, Haydn Thomas & Ken Watkins then shared 3rd place with Tiger in The Snow, The Watcher & My Kind of Shop all scoring 18.
The winners of the PI’s were Dave Edwards (Snow Leopard Hill Climbing) 20, Second place went to Dave’s (Running Bobcat) and Tony Shadrach’s (Splash) both scoring 19. Arfon (SA47 & No Escape), Colin Kelly (Sunset over the Estuary), Linda Cowen (Black Leopard) and Haydn Thomas (Boots) all shared the 3rd place with a score of 18.
Well done to Linda on her first competition entry, keep up the good work.
