Having studied the comp calendar carefully for the first two months of the new season, I think some members may get confused with the number of hand ins required.
On September 4th hand in Dpis for our HOME 5 way battle which will be JUDGED on the 2nd October . You may enter up to 5 dpis for consideration by the selection committee, we require 6 Dpi’s to enter for the Battle . Dont forget to bring along your EN PRINTS for judging tonight 7 x 5 with no manipulation, you may enter up to 4, which can be mounted on a backing board no bigger than 20 x 16
As we also have an AWAY Battle sheduled for the 3rd October at AMMAN VALLEY could we also PLEASE submit 8 Dpi’s and 8 Prints for this on the SAME NIGHT 4th September. We require 8 prints and 8 dpi’s to be entered .
TUESDAY 11th September hand in your own prints for our competition 1 open , you are allowed a colour print and a mono print plus 2 dpis of any format (colour, mono or mixed), NB DPI’s dimensions for OUR competitions are 1024 x 768 (max) with 150 dpi resolution , just make sure you set your LONGEST side to 1024, the opposite dimension will then set itself (probably to around 688)!
This competition will be judged on the 25th September by Phil Thomas I believe.
Hopefully this will clarify things for September while I am away ! PLEASE pass this on to any member who does not get our e mails , also ask them to contact me with their e mail address if they have one so i can add it to my circulation list .
I leave the arrangements for selections to be sorted by the selection committee , the first home battle dpis will need to be forwarded to Leigh Woolford of Gwynfa camera club on a cd by the 18th September latest, this should also include the dpis from the other clubs i.e Aberdare, Bridgend, Pyle/Porthcawl and Trostre unless they indicate to me they are sending their own direct to Leigh .
Sorry if this is a long message but we must get it right for the start of the season
