Twenty five clubs contested the Barrian Cup on Saturday 4th June at the St. Francis Millennium Hall, Barry. Each club had submitted 5 prints in this prestigious competition. The judge – Leo Rich ARPS DPAGB APAGB EFIAP remarked on the high quality of the entries. At the end of the first half Neath was in a good position, the second half saw us looking good and at the start of the final round we were in with a chance of winning. Alas it all came unstuck when Craig and Maizie (Colin Kelly) only scored 13, it’s lowest ever score. The other individual scores were Barn Owl in Flight (Haydn Thomas DPAGB AFIAP) 16, The Pathway (Norman Lemon) 17, Fighting to Win (Dave Edwards AFIAP) 20, Common Darter (Cliff Emery CPAGB) 17. We finished a very creditable joint 6th place, behind the winners Inn Focus Group.
