Cardiff Carnival -10th August 2013

The 24th Cardiff Carnival will be the biggest and brightest celebration OF Cardiff BY Cardiff organised by SWICA (South Wales Intercultural Carnival Arts) and  sponsored by Bluestone National Park Resort.

Enjoy FREE family fun on two  carnival stages in The Hayes and Queen Street (11.30 – 3.30) featuring  glamorous carnival costumes, hi-energy dance, samba drumming as well as quirky  street theatre, Brazilian martial arts, live music, family-friendly burlesque, magic shows and surprise flashmobs.

Wales’ most colourful carnival parade will bring Cardiff city centre alive (3.30 – 5.00) featuring hundreds of glitzy sequined costumes, massed samba drumming, flag waving rollerskaters and funky streetbands.  Follow the parade from The ATRiuM via Queen Street before the finale riot of colour of the Street Jam in St Mary’s Street.

This will be a great chance for all you ‘People’ Photographers in the Club.

Change of Venue

Due to universal apathy ( and insufficient numbers to fill the bus) the trip to the British Wildlife Centre scheduled for the 6th July has been cancelled.  We will now be going to Blists Hill Victorian Town, no bus will be supplied so be prepared to share vehicles.
