Agreed with judge about this. Wording included in a shot forces the viewer to read the text and distracts from the image.

Not everyone is ever going to always agree. The inclusion of the words is not just deliberate, it's basically the point of the photo. I see this as a photo of the gate with the wording in, that also has the lighthouse behind it. As a visual image it mimics the huge place name installations you sometimes get at tourist attractions these days. I found that interesting and worth recording, but I accept others finding it less appealing.

I thought that may have been your intention because you've taken care to place the wording against the sky, making it very obvious. Some we win and some we lose; that's photography.
