Another brave entry. This kind of image is a "Marmite" image for many, but the judge liked it but didn't love it. Probably a bit too strange for normal club comps but could do well elsewhere.
Isn’t it interesting how one image does nothing for the viewer and then the next, like this one, makes you want to look closer. Something about this image that appeals to me. :lol:
I always just put in stuff I find pleasing and/or interesting, so I am ok with it being considered too strange for competition. The judge seemed to think it was an accidental composition, but that is not true. The shot was planned as it is, based on observation of the bubble patterns. The idea was to not lead the viewer towards the wrong end of the photo, which a visible head or face might have done. I wanted it to be a photo of the mechanics of what was happening, rather than a photo of the person.
